pushy salespeople

i hate pushy salespeople.

today i had to go to the mall to get our rings inspected. we have a diamond guarantee at kay jewelers. as long as we take our rings every six months, our diamonds will be replaced for free if they ever fall out or get damaged.

i walked in today and told the guy that i needed to get my rings inspected and he kind of huffed and passed me off to a lady. she took my rings and cleaned and inspected them, while she was doing that she asked me if i wanted to see anything. i don't mind her asking me once, however she didn't stop there.

she hands my rings to me and i have to remind her that i need the paperwork printed out. that is when she says "well, why don't you let me show you something. you could always put it on layaway."

i just wanted my rings inspected, get my paperwork and freaking leave. i tell her no. and she prints the paperwork for one ring. we have three, two for my wife and mine. after printing the paperwork for one ring she again tells me that i can put something on layaway. she said "come with me, i'll show you".

look lady! i just want my rings checked, the paperwork printed and freaking leave.

after i tell her no, again, she prints my other paperwork.

now, i am trying to leave and she says again "we have a sale on black friday and you can put something on layaway for that. let me get something out for you."

it was driving me insane. i shouldn't have to tell a salesperson 'no' that many times. i just wanted my rings checked. period. that's it. and this damn women kept pushing and pushing. i understand that the economy is shitty and you need sales, but damn lady, chill.
