there is a hollywood movie being filmed near my hometown of rome, ga and they are obsessed with it

i have felt this way before

talented kids scare me

i'm not actually afraid of talented children, but i am afraid of the choices as a parent that come with them. i have to imagine that if as a parent you discover that your child is amazingly talented that you must make a choice.

1) tell them that they really aren't that good and squash their dreams

2) tell them that yes, you are talented and maybe one day, with hard work, someone will discover you

or

3) exploit the hell out of them and cash the damn checks!

if my kid was as talented as this little girl, it would be a hard choice

just another reason for the terrorists to hate us and for the aliens to pass us by
